Description
From El Calafate we will ascend in 4X4 the Huyliche cord to 1100 meters above sea level, a panoramic point of the Andes Mountains, the Patagonian steppe and the Argentinian Lake, surrounded by fantastic rock formations from where you can appreciate the geological evolution of the area. If it is clear, we will be able to appreciate the Cordillera de los Andes until the Fitz Roy Hill, all the arms of the Argentino Lake, this position is ideal to understand the phenomenon of the endorsement and rupture of the Perito Moreno Glacier. Maybe we can also contemplate the flight of the Condors. At the top we will make our photo stop, we will make a descent of the vehicles to make a small walk to the edge of the Balconies. There they will receive an interpretive talk from our guide with the support of our company's posters. Once at the top, we will divide the group into 3 smaller groups, based on the chosen descent option. All the options will arrive together to the stay, therefore in the same reservation there may be passengers who make different descents, will meet again at the base to have lunch or take the tea. ONLY 4X4: on the south side with panoramic views of the Stone Labyrinth and the Patagonian steppe. This option allows the ascent to the Upper Balcony from where you can see all the arms of Lake Argentino, including the South Arm, as well as on clear days, the summit of Mount Fitz Roy. Difficulty: Low, only exclusive for people with spine or neck problems and not recommended for children under 4 years.
TREKKING: on the North side, it is a guided walk of 90 minutes with views of Lake Argentino. The tour is conducted with a guide through a Cretaceous valley with strange and unique geological formations, fantastically eroded by ice, water and wind. Difficulty: Medium, requires good health and physical condition and although it has no aerobic requirement. Not suitable for serious overweight. It is highly recommended to wear outdoor clothing and trekking shoes.
TIROLESA: those looking for maximum adventure can descend through our exclusive circuit of 5 lines of ZipLine of 2,920m in length. We will provide all the necessary equipment to enjoy this unique experience of flying over the mountain just as only condors can do it. The descent is done with 2 of our guides. Difficulty: Medium, requires good health and physical condition and although it has no aerobic requirement. Not suitable for serious overweight (Maximum 100kgs). It is highly recommended to wear outdoor clothing and trekking shoes.
